Free Printable A5 Planner Inserts 2023 Future-Planning (Dated)
Introduction
It is that time of year! I’ve got updated Future Planning Printable Planner Inserts for 2023 available. This is a set of printable inserts that you can use in your planner or bullet journal to help you plan out your days, months and years ahead.
The Future Planning inserts are broken down into three sections:
- Year-at-a-Glance – Month on two pages – Recurring Events. These sections will help you organize all aspects of your life and future goals by breaking them down into smaller pieces that are easier to manage.
Future Planning is an important part of staying organized.
Future planning is one of the most important parts of staying organized. It’s not just about making a to-do list and crossing off items, but also looking ahead and creating plans for the future.
Future planning allows you to make sure future events and tasks don’t get lost or forgotten, which allows you to clear your head for the urgent and timely tasks that need your attention now.
This free printable planner insert includes three different templates that are meant to help you plan out when something needs to be completed (and when), so that it gets done!
It’s not just about the to-do list, but also has to do with looking ahead and planning for it.
Planning ahead is a powerful tool you can use to reduce stress and feel more organized. It will help you be more efficient, which in turn allows you to have more free time.
For example, if you have a doctor’s appointment planned for two months from now, you don’t need to be trying to keep that information in your brain while you go about your daily and weekly tasks and plans. By putting it into your future panner, you know you won’t forget it, and you can dedicate your thoughts to the things that need your attention today.
It also helps you prioritize when you have both things that need to be done today, and things that don’t.
This is a great tool that can help you prioritize tasks and make sure you’re spending your time wisely. For example, if you are working on a long-term project, you can prioritize what needs to be done first – those items can go on your daily and weekly planner pages, and the rest can go into your future planner pages.
If you have a lot of tasks that need to be completed by the end of the week or month, this will help keep them organized so they don’t get missed!
I created these printable inserts specifically for helping with future planning.
You can use these planner inserts as a tool to help you plan for the future. You can use them by creating a section in your planner and refer to them when you are making your weekly, daily, or monthly plans.
Included in this download is 1 PDF file with all the sections: 2023 Future Planning Insert.
Free printable planner inserts to help you get organized!
The planner inserts are free, so you can print them out as many times as you’d like! You can also use them in any planner. Whether it’s a paper planner or a digital one, these printables will fit perfectly!
They are currently available in A5 size, but Happy Planner Classic size and Digital versions are coming soon.
You can use these prints for any purpose—to organize your self-care habits, set goals and plan out your weeks and months ahead of time, or even just write down some notes on the go. They’re so easy to use! Just open up your favorite PDF editor (such as Adobe Reader), select Print from the File menu, then choose “Print Selection” from the dropdown menu that appears in order to print only what’s visible on screen.
First Page: Year on One Page Calendar Planner Insert
The insert starts with a full year-at-a-glance page. I like to highlight birthdays, anniversaries, and other important dates. I’m using dot markers this year, and I’m coordinating my colors to my MäksÄ“Life goal planning.
Pages 2-7: Two Months on a Page Monthly Vertical Dated Planner
Most of the insert is two months per page, covering all of 2022. Much like my Month-on-One-Page meal planning insert, this one has each day on a line, with the weekends shaded. Because of this, it’s easy to see when plans are falling on a weekend.
These pages are great for jotting down future plans as they come up, or pre-planning date-sensitive events.
Page 8: Important Recurring Dates Planner Insert
The last page contains boxes for all the months of the year. They are open and unlined, so they’d be a great place to use stickers, too.
I’m using it to record recurring events, but you could also use this page for future-future planning and put events for 2023 in those boxes.
This year, I’m using it to list monthly and quarterly tasks, like turning the mattress and changing the oil on the car along with the usual birthdays and anniversaries.
Other uses for Free Printable Yearly Planner Inserts
You could print out these free printable planner inserts multiple times to use for different things:
- Meal planning

- Super-short journal entries
- Outfit planner
- Mood journal
- Health planner (record doctor’s visits, symptoms, meds)
I’m also thinking about using this for an at-a-glance content planner, with themes on the last page, and post dates on the vertical months.
… And finally
The future planning printables are a great way to get started with your own planning system. You can easily customize them to fit your needs and use them as often as you like! I hope these templates help you plan for the future and achieve your goals in 2023!
Printing Instructions for Free Dated Planner Insert
If your printer does duplex printing, select “print on both sides” and “flip on long edge”. Then you can cut the inserts using the crop marks, punch, and you’re good to go!
If your printer doesn’t support duplex printing, print the PDF choosing “odd pages” only. Then load your pages back into the printer, select “even pages” and “reverse order”. Here’s a resource that may help from Adobe: Printing doublesided in Adobe Reader or Adobe acrobat
